College of Business and Economics is a leading educational institution of higher learning in Doha, Qatar. It was inaugurated in 1985. This college is also recognized as CBE.

The objective of this college is to provide knowledge in the fields of business through Teaching and Research. It promotes and encourages critical thought. It gives active and collaborative learning and education to the students.

The Libraries of CBE are on campus and serve all of its students with a wide range of volumes. Further, wide-ranging and special collections are available online here.

The students, staff, and faculty members of this college have access to all resources and services in the libraries. The unavailable material in the library can be ordered through the procurement office. The library of the college has textbooks, specialized reports & journals, and online connection to the libraries.

Computer Facilities

This college has outstanding computing facilities. At CBE, every faculty at has a high-tech laptop computer. There are almost 10 computer labs with 30 laptops and 12 desktop computers in the Library of this college available for the use of the students.

Technology Support at the College of Business and Economics

This college has enough electronic resources for students and academic staff to support its programs. Blackboard is used by all of the faculty members of the college where students can access Course Resources, Submit Assignments, and access E-Mail.

Each of the classrooms of this college has a smart technology projector, a computer player, and a sound system. Most of the classrooms comprise lecture capturing technology ECHO 360 class lectures and then convert them into video or rich media.

Community Engagement Unit

This unit aims to build up transformative learning experiences for the desiring leaders and entrepreneurs. It is a community engagement center in Qatar as an interface between CABE and the business community in Qatar.

This unit wants to engage in value-adding community engagement. It provides real business solutions for each related entity whether it is a start-up non-profit, or public organization.

At this college, sport is considered a vital part of the development of the students and society. This college has all of the facilities related to Sports including Football Ground, Hockey Ground, Cricket Ground, Basketball Court, and Volleyball Court.

The facility of Hostels is available. There are separate Boys and Girls Hostels at this college with all facilities. Each of the hostels has Solar Hot Water, Backup Electricity, Reading Room, a Screen LED TV, Night Canteens, and many more.

Scholarships

This college offers a range of scholarships and grants to the students. Its objective is to support students who belong to poor and Low Economic status families and want to continue their education. Also, it gives merit-based scholarships to International Students.
