About Zhejiang University
Zhejiang is the first higher education institution that was founded by Hangzhou Mayor Lin Qi in China in 1897. Education reforms in China in 1902 and 1904, were renamed Qiushi Academy renamed to Chekiang University, and in 1903, Chekiand Higher Institutes.
History
During the presidency of KMT member Cheng Tien-fong central government directly funded to university after discontinuing public funding. According to a government order university founded its medical school in 1946, after World War 2 in 1945.
After and Before re-organization
In 1949, formed a new government after taking control of mainland China by Communists. More than 60 members decided to remain to stay, meanwhile, a lot of alumni went to Taiwan. When once Su Buqing and Tan Jiazhen claimed to boycott the relocation, opposed by the faculty division of Zhejiang University. The relocation plan was stopped by the Great Chinese Famine. In 1963, Zhejiang University was selected as a National Key University.

For International Students the Dormitory Buildings mainly include Zijingang Campus International Students Dormitory. Zhoushan Campus and Haining International Campus are managed by the respective campuses for International student accommodation.
- Types of Dormitory Rooms and Costs
Dormitory buildings offer the students different types of rooms, including single rooms, superior single rooms, quadruple en-suites, twin rooms, and double suites. The fees based on the room type and term of living would vary from 80 CNY to 400 CNY per day.
